Acts 1:11 states, "ደግሞም፦ የገሊላ ሰዎች ሆይ፥ ወደ ሰማይ እየተመለከታችሁ ስለ ምን ቆማችኋል? ይህ ከእናንተ ወደ ሰማይ የወጣው ኢየሱስ ወደ ሰማይ ሲሄድ እንዳያችሁት፥ እንዲሁ ይመጣል አሉአቸው።"

Matthew 24:30-31 reveals, " የሰማያትም ኃይላት ይናወጣሉ። በዚያን ጊዜም የሰው ልጅ ምልክት በሰማይ ይታያል፥ በዚያን ጊዜም የምድር ወገኖች ሁሉ ዋይ ዋይ ይላሉ፥ የሰው ልጅንም በኃይልና በብዙ ክብር በሰማይ ደመና ሲመጣ ያዩታል፤መላእክቱንም ከታላቅ መለከት ድምፅ ጋር ይልካቸዋል፥ ከሰማያትም ዳርቻ እስከ ዳርቻው ከአራቱ ነፋሳት ለእርሱ የተመረጡትን ይሰበስባሉ።”

Revelation 1:7-8 declares, " እነሆ፥ ከደመና ጋር ይመጣል፤ ዓይንም ሁሉ የወጉትም ያዩታል፥ የምድርም ወገኖች ሁሉ ስለ እርሱ ዋይ ዋይ ይላሉ። አዎን፥ አሜን። ያለውና የነበረው የሚመጣውም ሁሉንም የሚገዛ ጌታ አምላክ፦ አልፋና ዖሜጋ እኔ ነኝ ይላል።"

The Church teaches that the Second Coming of Christ will be a single, decisive event that leads to the final judgment and the renewal of creation, firmly rejecting the idea of a separate, preliminary rapture (ንጥቀት / መነጠቅ). The concept of rapture will be covered in the upcoming part of this essay.

The Resurrection of the Dead (ትንሳኤ ሙታን)

1 Corinthians 15:52-54 proclaims, " እነሆ፥ አንድ ምሥጢር እነግራችኋለሁ፤ ሁላችን አናንቀላፋም ነገር ግን የኋለኛው መለከት ሲነፋ ሁላችን በድንገት በቅጽበተ ዓይን እንለወጣለን፤ መለከት ይነፋልና ሙታንም የማይበሰብሱ ሆነው ይነሣሉ እኛም እንለወጣለን። ይህ የሚበሰብሰው የማይበሰብሰውን ሊለብስ ይህም የሚሞተው የማይሞተውን ሊለብስ ይገባዋልና። ዳሩ ግን ይህ የሚበሰብሰው የማይበሰብሰውን ሲለብስ ይህም የሚሞተው የማይሞተውን ሲለብስ፥ በዚያን ጊዜ፦ ሞት ድል በመነሣት ተዋጠ ተብሎ የተጻፈው ቃል ይፈጸማል።"

The EOTC teaches that the resurrection will lead directly to the final judgment, where each person will be judged according to their deeds.

The Final Judgment (የመጨረሻ ፍርድ)

The Final Judgment marks the climax of eschatology, when Christ will judge all humanity according to their faith and deeds. This judgment is both decisive and eternal, determining whether one inherits eternal life or faces eternal separation from God.

Matthew 25:31-33 states, " የሰው ልጅ በክብሩ በሚመጣበት ጊዜ ከእርሱም ጋር ቅዱሳን መላእክቱ ሁሉ፥ በዚያን ጊዜ በክብሩ ዙፋን ይቀመጣል፤ አሕዛብም ሁሉ በፊቱ ይሰበሰባሉ፤ እረኛም በጎቹን ከፍየሎች እንደሚለይ እርስ በርሳቸው ይለያቸዋል፥ በጎችን በቀኙ ፍየሎችንም በግራው ያቆማቸዋል።"

Revelation 20:11-13-15 declares, "ታላቅና ነጭ ዙፋንን በእርሱም ላይ የተቀመጠውን አየሁ፥ ምድርና ሰማይም ከፊቱ ሸሹ ስፍራም አልተገኘላቸውም። ሙታንንም ታናናሾችንና ታላላቆችን በዙፋኑ ፊት ቆመው አየሁ፥ መጻሕፍትም ተከፈቱ፤ ሌላ መጽሐፍም ተከፈተ እርሱም የሕይወት መጽሐፍ ነው፤ ሙታንም በመጻሕፍት ተጽፎ እንደ ነበረ እንደ ሥራቸው መጠን ተከፈሉ። ባሕርም በእርሱ ውስጥ ያሉትን ሙታን ሰጠ፥ ሞትና ሲኦልም በእነርሱ ዘንድ ያሉትን ሙታን ሰጡ፥ እያንዳንዱም እንደ ሥራው መጠን ተከፈለ። ሞትና ሲኦልም በእሳት ባሕር ውስጥ ተጣሉ። ይህም የእሳት ባሕር ሁለተኛው ሞት ነው።በሕይወትም መጽሐፍ ተጽፎ ያልተገኘው ማንኛውም በእሳት ባሕር ውስጥ ተጣለ።"

The righteous will inherit eternal life, while the wicked will face eternal separation from God, an outcome referred to as the “second death” in the verse above.

2 Corinthians 5:10 also recorded, " መልካም ቢሆን ወይም ክፉ እንዳደረገ፥ እያንዳንዱ በሥጋው የተሠራውን በብድራት ይቀበል ዘንድ ሁላችን በክርስቶስ በፍርድ ወንበር ፊት ልንገለጥ ይገባናልና።"

The Eternal Destinies (የዘላለም እጣ ፈንታ)

The outcome of the final judgment determines the eternal consequence of each person:

The Righteous – Those who have lived according to God’s will, demonstrating faith and good works, will enter eternal life in communion with God. Philippians 3:20-21 mentions, " እኛ አገራችን በሰማይ ነውና፥ ከዚያም ደግሞ የሚመጣ መድኃኒትን እርሱንም ጌታን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን እንጠባበቃለን፤ እርሱም ሁሉን እንኳ ለራሱ ሊያስገዛ እንደሚችልበት አሠራር፥ ክቡር ሥጋውን እንዲመስል የተዋረደውን ሥጋችንን ይለውጣል።" This verse assures our eternal destiny and encourages us to live with our hearts set in Heaven. It reminds us that our true home is in Heaven and urges us to live with that eternal hope in view.

Mathiew 25:34-36 indicates, "ንጉሡም በቀኙ ያሉትን እንዲህ ይላቸዋል፦ እናንተ የአባቴ ቡሩካን፥ ኑ፤ ዓለም ከተፈጠረበት ጊዜ ጀምሮ የተዘጋጀላችሁን መንግሥት ውረሱ።ተርቤ አብልታችሁኛልና፥ ተጠምቼ አጠጥታችሁኛልና፥ እንግዳ ሆኜ ተቀብላችሁኛልና፥ ታርዤ አልብሳችሁኛልና፥ ታምሜ ጠይቃችሁኛልና፥ ታስሬ ወደ እኔ መጥታችኋልና።"

The Wicked – Those who have rejected God’s word and lived in unrighteousness will face eternal separation from God.

Matthew 25:41-43 points out, " በዚያን ጊዜ በግራው ያሉትን ደግሞ ይላቸዋል፦ እናንተ ርጉማን፥ ለሰይጣንና ለመላእክቱ ወደ ተዘጋጀ ወደ ዘላለም እሳት ከእኔ ሂዱ። ተርቤ አላበላችሁኝምና፥ ተጠምቼ አላጠጣችሁኝምና፥ እንግዳ ሆኜ አልተቀበላችሁኝምና፥ ታርዤ አላለበሳችሁኝምና፥ ታምሜ ታስሬም አልጠየቃችሁኝምና።"

Revelation 20:13-15 also states, "ባሕርም በእርሱ ውስጥ ያሉትን ሙታን ሰጠ፥ ሞትና ሲኦልም በእነርሱ ዘንድ ያሉትን ሙታን ሰጡ፥ እያንዳንዱም እንደ ሥራው መጠን ተከፈለ። ሞትና ሲኦልም በእሳት ባሕር ውስጥ ተጣሉ። ይህም የእሳት ባሕር ሁለተኛው ሞት ነው። በሕይወትም መጽሐፍ ተጽፎ ያልተገኘው ማንኛውም በእሳት ባሕር ውስጥ ተጣለ።”
